Expert appointment to assess the value of a complex loan and asset finance business, with global operations
Appointed as expert on behalf of the wife at the outset of financial remedy proceedings to assist in the valuation of a global loan and asset finance business. The valuation was further complicated by historical private equity investment and a variety of differing share classes.
Expert appointment on behalf of the company Administrator, UK High Court
Appointed by the Administrator to consider whether assets of the business had been transferred at an undervalue. The project required an assessment of the fair value of the consideration paid and contingent consideration agreed upon in the transaction.
Expert appointment on behalf of the wife in an UHNW divorce of leading UK musician, UK High Court
Appointed as a sole expert to assist and advise the wife during her divorce from a leading UK musician. Consideration was given to both the publishing and performing rights and associated royalties, which were substantial.
Instructed on behalf of the non business owning party to advise of certain valuation aspects in anticipation of a set aside application, Family Court
Instructed to reperform certain valuation calculations, including a DCF analysis, adopting alternative assumptions based on information available at the time of historical proceedings, but not reflected by the SJE at the time.
Party appointed expert in large (c. £250 million) proceedings involving large number of portfolio companies, Family Court
Appointed on behalf of the husband in large divorce proceedings and instructed to prepare a report to assess the value of an interest in a successful investment fund, as well as several one off investments held via complex offshore structures.
